- August 21, 2013: Intercession by Kinday Toto
Teaching on the Brave and the Steadfast Conference at Steubenville Evangelization is about proclaiming Jesus. Our faith is about someone not something. There is something more that people were hungering for in life.
We Are In A War - The Lord and His People Win Parish Mission at Saint Philip Neri in Linthicum, MD with Ralph Martin Ephesians 6 v.10-12: "Finally, grow strong in the Lord, with the strength of his power. Put on the full armor of God so as to be able to resist the devil's tactics."
Moving a Mountain with the Touch of Jesus
Don't think you can move a mountain? What is expectant faith and what does it
take to have it?
Going Deeper in Prayer A National Tragedy Contemplative Prayer
"Going
Deeper in Prayer Mission" by Damian Stayne and Father Francis Martin. Contemplative Prayer (Colossians 4:2)
says: Devote yourselves to prayer. Jesus gave two commandments about love.
Every prayer that is not contextually in the two commandments is not prayer. We
come to prayer to love and be loved. Continuous
prayer (1 Thessalonians 5:17) says to pray unceasingly. How can we do that
today? Praying with scriptures. St. Jerome says ignorance of scripture is
ignorance of Christ. God loves to teach us through His Word. Listen as you pray
so He can talk to you.
Part I, Sept. 19 & Part II, Sept. 26
We
are created to praise, love, and reverence God, and to work out our salvation.
The Rules for Discernment, as
developed by St. Ignatius of Loyola, are an aid to enter the breadth and depth
of our life so we may be open to experience the loving presence of Our Lord in
heartfelt prayer.

Let Us Pray with One Heart Together with Mary in the Upper Room!
Fr. Bramlage Activate Healing Conference
Fr. Bramlage and Fr. Wilder have felt called by God to respond to John Paul
II's vision concerning the New Evangelization, especially among the poor. They
have been touched by the Holy Spirit to share the Good News of God's love
through the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Growing in Holiness
What happens when we read the Word of God? How can we grow in holiness? How do
we enter into the love of God and the divine dialogue?
A Time to Advance
Does our mindset influence our behavior? A Time to Advance discusses three
types of behavior; Barbarian, Greek and Hebrew and how they influence our
behavior.
A Thousand Generations
"He
remembers forever his covenant, the word he commanded for a thousand
generations,” (Psalm 105:8) How has God stayed faithful to His covenant?
Kingdom
Living
“Jesus was praying in a certain place, and when He ceased, one of his disciples
said to Him, ‘Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples.’” (Luke
11:1) Why pray the Lord's Prayer as a basis of a prayer life?
Mozambique
"I Went Hoping And Praying For
A Spiritual Heart Transplant.” Has it ever occurred to you what it would be
like to live in one of the poorest countries in the world? Come along and walk
with me as we take a closer look at those conditions first hand and see what
the powerful LOVE of Jesus Christ can do to change lives.
Damian Stayne's Charism School
Damian’s desire is to equip Catholics to be able to impact their spheres
of influence. The focus was on prophecy, word of knowledge, faith and
deliverance.
Prophecy
(From
an 1828 edition of Webster’s dictionary) Prophecy: a foretelling; prediction; a
declaration of something to come.
As God only knows future events with certainty, no being but God, or
some person informed by Him, can utter a real prophecy. The prophecies recorded in scripture,
when fulfilled, afford most convincing evidence of the divine origin of the
Scriptures, as those who uttered the prophecies could not have foreknown the
events predicted without supernatural instruction.
Intercession On The Hoof
We
have a problem! I don’t know how to pray BUT the Holy Spirit helps us in our
weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the
Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.
Intercession on the hoof is prayer outside of our prayer closet.
